I’d love to make ‘Munnabhai’-type film: Anurag Kashyap (Film Snippets)

Mumbai, July 9 (IANS) Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who has churned out intense films like “Black Friday”, “Dev D” and “Gulaal”, says he would love to make a comedy like “Munnabhai MBBS”.
“I’m not averse to it at all. I would love to make something like ‘Munnabhai MBBS’. You need talent to be able to pull off something like that. In fact, I quite envy directors like Rajkumar Hirani and Dibakar Banerjee because they make such wonderful films,” Kashyap told IANS.
Kashyap is currently awaiting the release of his production venture “Udaan”, a story about a father-son relationship that was screened at the Cannes International Film Festival earlier this year.

I don’t strategise my roles: Kangana
Actress Kangana Ranaut, who will sport a retro look in the upcoming film “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai”, says she doesn’t really plan out the kind of roles she takes on.
“I don’t strategise when it comes to the kind of roles I want to do. When a good film comes, I do it and if I don’t like it, I don’t…it’s not that I sit and think that this is what I want to do and this is what I don’t want to do,” Kangana told IANS.
The actress has mostly done serious roles in films like “Gangster”, “Woh Lamhe” and “Raaz - the Mystery Continues”.

Delnaz wants to be female Boman Irani
Television and film actress Delnaz Paul, who has made a mark with comic roles, says she would like to be known as the female version of Boman Irani.
“I really admire Boman Irani a lot. In a very short span, he created a strong place for himself in the industry…His graph is stupendous. I want to be a female Boman Irani and want to do roles like him,” Delnaz, who played Preity Zinta’s bubbly friend in “Kal Ho Naa Ho”, told IANS.
“I like comedy, but that’s not just what I can do; I can do much more if given a chance,” she added.
Delnaz will now be seen in the Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor-starrer “Milenge Milenge”, which releases Friday.
