movie July 8, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): There’s news buzzing in and around the Hollywood film circle regarding Sir Ian McKellen, who might just quit playing the role of Gandalf in ‘The Hobbit’. The veteran actor is contemplating quitting from the role and he blames it on the delay of the film.

The actor said that he doesn’t wish to wait for a film. This is incidentally a prequel to the blockbuster Lord of The Rings. He essayed the role of the wizard named Gandalf. He wishes to pursue other work in case the shoot of the prequel doesn’t start soon. The British actor adds that since he’s not in a contract with anyone and he realizes that his time might be up real soon, he is enjoying the theaters a lot. He wishes to continue with theater and carry on after his performance in ‘Waiting For Godot’. He says that he would love to do another play, since that idea is still in the pipelines. He says that he doesn’t wish to create a notion that he is just waiting for them to come and help him.

He had a very frank discussion with the ‘Good Morning’ show that’s broadcasted from Kiwi-land, that the present production situation would soon come into light.

“The Hobbit” plans to reconstruct the scenes as depicted in the novel and would also have several additional scenes that would create an awesome impression to “The Lords of the Rings” It is likely to be divided in to a couple of parts.
