1782216binWhen Montreal born author, Ian Halpern started off to write the biography of the estranged singer, Michael Jackson, every one thought that the author was all set to lash out at Jackson by maligning the singer’s much talked about personal life. During that time in 2005, Jackson was freshly acquitted of a second charge dealing with child molestation. But by the time Halpern had finished the book that is weeks after the pop icon’s sad demise, witnessed an entirely different approach of the author regarding the vision he had on Michael.

“I interviewed all kinds of people connected to the case and kids who stayed at Neverland, and my final conclusion today is that he was hundred percent not a child molester,” said Halpern regarding his changing views on Jackson. Halperin blamed Jackson’s child like attitude towards both his business dealings and personal life that gradually brought the down fall of the legendary superstar.

Co incidentally Halpern’s book was all set to go to the presses just the day before Jackson died. After some changes here and there, some rewrites and a change in title, “Unmasked: The Final Years Of Michael Jackson” had hit the book stores this Tuesday. The author of the book, Halpern, who worked briefly in the Gazette library in 1986, declined to comment on what he stands to make on the sales of his book.

Halpern, who predicted Michael’s death, missing out the date by one day said, “He wasn’t in a great shape for a long time, both mentally and physically, so I wasn’t saying something vaguely regarding his death. I was serious.” The new book seems to be catching the eyes of the readers and will probably be termed as the “best-seller of the year”.
