New Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS) “Chak De!” girl Sagarika Ghatge says she shared a fantastic equation with co-star Arjun Rampal while shooting for “Fox”, and everyone on the sets made her feel so “comfortable” that she even agreed to do a romantic scene with nothing but Rampal’s shirt on.

“I shared a fantastic equation with Arjun. He was really chilled out. In fact, everyone from the team made me very comfortable from day one,” Sagarika told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

“There was a scene for a romantic song where I was required to wear a night suit. But we couldn’t find anything on the sets that could make it look romantic so Arjun gave me his shirt - it was long enough!

“I told these people that I am not going to wear just Arjun’s shirt, but they insisted that it would make the scene look quite natural. So I agreed after a lot of persuasion,” she added.

Sagarika, who made her debut with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer hit film “Chak De! India” in 2007, says she shared a good rapport with most of her co-stars of “Fox” but had little interaction with Sunny Deol.

“Sunny was very reserved. Of whatever little interaction that I had with him, he seemed really nice. And in any case, since he is quite senior to me, respect for him automatically came to me,” she said.

Deepak Tijori-directed “Fox”, releasing Friday, will see the 27-year-old actress playing the role of an upcoming lawyer as well as Arjun’s love interest. Sagarika says she liked the role because her character is “a woman of today - independent and self-reliant”.

Asked why she took so long to come up with her second project, she said that her “instincts didn’t allow” her to agree on any other project that was offered in recent times.

“Choosing the films I want to do is an instant decision I make based on my instincts. Besides, the gap wasn’t intentional as ‘Fox’ also took a while to release,” she said.

However, the two-year gap didn’t wipe out Sagarika from the audience’s memory as her portrayal of Preeti Sabharwal in “Chak De! India” has stayed on with them. Though this may prove fatal for her career, the actress is ready to face it head on.

“I take the whole thing very positively. ‘Chak De!…’ was a huge success and people appreciated my role with their heart. It’s okay if they remember me for having played Preeti Sabharwal, but at least its stayed on. The only way to come out of it is to do a film of the level of ‘Chak De!…,” she said.

As for the kind of roles that she is looking forward to play in the near future, Sagarika said: “I don’t want to do a kind character. If anything interesting comes my way and suits my instincts, I will be happy to do it. But to actually find out the genres and characters that I want to play, I need to get a few films old. Then with experience, I can find which path I should go on.”

Her future films include “Raftaar 24 X 7″ as well as an untitled project with J.P. Dutta.
