I Know What You Did Last Summer - A Movie on Friends and FearsApril 9th, 2009 - 9:06 pm ICT by GD
There are a few ghost movies that can give you the ultimate scare of your life. I got a similar effect once I saw the movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer“. The most thrilling part of the story is that it can actually happen in anyone’s life. So, once you watch the movie you get a lasting eerie and spooky feeling.
The movie is actually based on an adaptation of Lois Duncan’s thriller about four teenaged friends who inadvertently get involved in a murder. The plot of the movie unfolds as the friends try to provide a cover for the hit and run case that they commit accidentally.
The audience have to endure being on tenterhooks till they get to know who is murdering the rest of the friends. The killing of the friends takes place after a year of the accident, when they get a mysterious letter saying ‘I know what you did last summer’.
After receiving the mail the friends realize that their worst fears have come true and someone really knows about their past. The irony lies in the fact that the four friends, who were really very close a year back, now cannot even stand the sight of each other. However, the impending crisis does bring them together as they try to find out the person who had mailed the mysterious letter.
There are many critics who believe that this teen flick was not as great as its counterpart ‘Scream’ but some still feel that the movie gave them quite a scare.
