As per the survey by Roy Morgan Research, the actor beat Bindi Irwin, Dame Edna Everage and Jennifer Hawkins to grab the honour.
American-based trends expert Daniel Levine said that the star would be a favourite in the US as well.
“He’s a good-looking, friendly guy and he has an attitude and a feeling that for us speaks really positively of Australia,” the Herald Sun quoted him as saying.
“From abroad, Australia is perceived as having extraordinarily friendly people and great beaches. That’s something that can and should be pushed even further,” he added. (ANI)
