June 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Hugh Grant joined the students of Oxford University last weekend, where he was invited for a formal dinner. The actor later went towards the college bar which was crowded by undergraduates celebrating the end of their exams. He delighted them by offering to buy them a round of drinks.

Grant, who is an alumnus of the Oxford University, gave his credit card to the bartender to buy drinks for everyone but he was informed that they only accept cash. He then bought a lot of tickets to nearby nightclubs and gave them to students.

After the dinner ,Grant headed for a private drink with staff members but reportedly got bored and came down to the bar. He was also seen at the pool table showing off his game skills.

Grant, who calls himself an actor by accident, shot to fame with his role in the 1994 film Four Weddings and a Funeral. His other prominent films include Mickey Blue Eyes, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones’s Diary, About A Boy and American Dreamz. In his 20 years of long career he has received a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA, as well as a Honorary César.

Grant has extensively spoken about his disrespect for acting and celebrity culture at various occasions. He is known for his hostile nature towards media and the British press often refer to him as grumpy.
