Hugh Grant kicks journalist in the groin
June 13th, 2009 - 12:46 am ICT by IANSLondon, June 12 (IANS) British actor Hugh Grant has been caught on camera appearing to kick a journalist in the groin after being photographed during a night out.
Mirror.co.uk reports, the 49-year-old, who is quite infamous among the paparazzi, was leaving the Waverley Inn in New York after an evening with friends when the incident occurred.
The star warned paparazzi photographing him to “back off” and commanding “not even a man, not even a man” after he became agitated when a photojournalist asked him: “Where are the ladies tonight?”
When another photographer advised the actor and his friend on where to get a taxi, Grant appeared to flip out and landed a kick between his legs.
“That wasn’t cool. What’s your problem? What the hell is your problem?” said the injured journalist.
Another added: “That’s great, now you’ve got a lawsuit on you.”
This is not the first time the “Notting Hill” star has been involved in such a matter.
In 2007, he was arrested after throwing a baked beans tin at a photographer outside his home. Those charges were however dropped.
