0011New York, June 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) You might be counting on your flab after ABC Family’s new fat camp drama “Huge” made it’s first appearance but the series producer takes a different stance. Ask Winnie Holzman and she says that one doesn’t needs to be fat to relate to the events of the fat camp drama. That defines how the show is markedly different from the earlier productions of Winnie Holzman like “My So-Called Life” and “Once and Again”.

The story follows Willamina (essayed by Nikki Blonsky) who wants to gain weight to make her parents angry while on the other hand we have Amber (played by Hayley Hasselhoff) who is seemingly the camp’s “golden girl” and suffers from low confidence. Apart from the fun and the humor, the fat camp drama also hustles with the characters and their confrontation of emotions which adds to the essence of the drama.

Winnie Holzman believes that “Huge” can’t be considered a personal drama. In other words, anyone who thinks that she has been inspired by true events hasn’t got it correct. However the producer underlined that certain emotions which are being depicted by the characters bears a little resemblance with daily life. As a matter of fact, weight has been a dominant issue for the producer and her daughter Savannah who is working alongside her mother on this project. The body image and the self image are the two entities which the producer wanted to focus on “Huge” and she thinks that they are not “alone” on this and it’s really a “Huge” issue for them.
