Hudson launches weight-loss centre
September 29th, 2011 - 9:14 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Sep 29 (IANS) Actress Jennifer Hudson, who became the face of Weight Watchers last year, has now opened her own weight-loss centre in her native Chicago.
Hudson, who she 80 pounds (36.2 kilograms) is helping others to do the same after launching the Weight Watchers Jennifer Hudson Center on Tuesday.
“I never thought I would make it to have my own centre. I’m so honoured to be here and see this day,” dailystar.co.uk quoted her as saying.
Weight Watchers bosses have vowed to donate a portion of the facility’s profits to the newly-established kids’ charity, the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, set up by Hudson in memory of her late nephew, Julian King.
