Hrithik out of action!!

April 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): We haven’t really seen much of Hrithik Roshan since Jodha Akbar released in 2008. Though the star has been in the news, he hasn’t made any appearances in recent times. That was why the announcement of him performing at the IPL closing ceremony created much hype among his fan. But they are in for a disappointment as he would not be able to perform due to his knee injury.
IPL CEO Lalit Modi announced that this year that there will be an IPL Award Function at the end of the tournament. The charismatic star was slated to shake a leg at the closing ceremony, which will be a star-studded event. But that was not to be, as his recurring knee problem cropped up. It may be recalled that Hrithik had badly injured his knee while performing stunts for Krrish and Dhoom 2 and even had to undergo surgery. He was recuperating off late but a recent dance sequence for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish aggravated the problem.
Hrithik, who is known for his mean moves, was looking forward to creating magic on stage. Reportedly he even flew to Singapore to consult his doctor, who advised him against it. In fact, the suave star has been advised complete bed rest and to refrain from dancing for at least a month. He also cannot perform at the upcoming IIFA awards. Though a thorough professional, he cannot take risks with his health. We would have to wait some more for the handsome actor to enthrall us with his moves!
