‘How I Met Your Mother’ to get an extension
July 30th, 2012 - 7:15 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, July 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A lot of questions are being asked about whether the show ‘How I Met Your Mother’ should end with season 8 or continue to season 9.
CBS and 20th Century Fox are in preliminary talks on whether they should let the show continue or end it at season 8. The show’s ratings increased tremendously after season 7 which is making Fox and CBS to contemplate on having season 9 produced.
The actors of the show also want to extend their contracts which are supposed to end in May. Season 8 of the show will start on September 24th and those in charge of running the show say that there are two plans that have been laid pout on how the how season 8 will end depending on whether there will be a season 9 or not. This means that a decision has to be, made soon.
CBS bosses have confirmed that they are interested in letting the show go for a ninth season. In as much as fans of the show do not have a say in whether the show should continue or not, they are being asked to give their views on whether they want it to end or whether they want a season 9.
A lot of people have predicted how the show will end depending on the two possibilities but all we can do is wait and see what decision Fox and CBS will come up with.
