Los Angeles, Mar 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) CBS has renewed its faith in the series ‘How I Met Your Mother’. The network has subsequently renewed the contract to have two more seasons of the show.

Neil Patrick Harris was very happy about the renewal and tweeted that, “HIMYM picked up for 2 more years! Yahoo! With so much job security, I should buy something extravagant. Like a pony. Or some gold teeth!”

The renewal is somewhat the good news that CBS wants to hear. The network recently pulled the plug on its hit sitcom “Two and a Half Men.” The decision to stop the production of the show follows the off-the-screen antics of Charlie Sheen. He has for sometime been in the news for all the bad reasons. After his addiction problems, he went on a rampage to insult most of the executives of the show.

The producers of ‘How I Met Your Mother’,20th Fox Century, got a very good deal. CBS is ready to pay $3.3 million for every episode – that is about twice what was paid before. The entire current cast has appended their signatures to appear in the subsequent seasons of the show.
