Since the start of the show in 2004, it has the British actor Hugh Laurie, who plays the unconventional but brilliant doctor Gregory House. He has received two Golden Globe awards, two Screen Actors Guild awards and six Emmy nominations for his work in House. Hugh Laurie became the highest paid TV drama actor in history in 2010, earning mega bucks per episode.
Prior to House’s success, he joined in the cast of Blackadder and Jeeves and Wooster, along with the TV personality Stephen Fry. He has also taken part in numerous films, including Sense and Sensibility, 101 Dalmatians and the Stuart Little film series.
The retrospective and emotional last episode, titled Everybody Dies, contains friendship, a funeral and a series of plot twists and surprises, all created by the minds of the writers for the show Garret Lerner, Peter Blake and Russel Friend.
Characters like dead Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn), Stacy Warner (Sela Ward), and Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) appear in the last episode as figments of the main character’s imagination.
