Nevada (US), Sept 29 (ANI): When it comes to hosting, India seems to prefer Julia Roberts over Angelina Jolie.
Roberts is currently shooting in rural Haryana (India) for “Eat, Pray, Love” (Ryan Murphy), while Jolie was in Pune-Mumbai (India) in 2006 for filming “A Mighty Heart” (Michael Winterbottom).
Even when comparing with Bollywood actresses like megastar Filmfare Award winner Aishwarya Rai (Devdas), Roberts appears to be comparatively scoring higher points, reports suggest.
Roberts seems to have won all she interacted with in India-villagers, media persons following her, and the Indian crew members.
Qualities reportedly appreciated in Roberts include simplicity, humility, relaxed appearance, accessibility, professionalism, down-to-earth style, drinking chai (Indian tea) and street-walking with natives, eating with all the crew (while Jolie reportedly ate only with American or non-Indian crew), sticks to schedule, throws no tantrums or airs, does her homework thoroughly before shooting day, moved around barefoot, preferred walking over riding car to small distances, etc.
Hindu statesman Rajan Zed points out that humility is a great virtue and celebrities should stay away from vanity. Ancient Hindu scripture Katha Upanishad says: The ego gropes in darkness, while the Self lives in light, Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, adds. (ANI)
