Host Dana Carvey Shines On SNL

danaFeb 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) With renowned celebrities and extraordinary skits, last night’s “Saturday Night Live” lived up to the expectations of the audiences with host Dana Carvey. The notable actor and renowned comedian returned to the show for the fourth time and like always, he managed to entertain the audiences to the fullest with his sketches, gigs and witty comments. The musical guest of the night was none other than legendary band Linking Park and even teen heartthrob Justin Bieber joined the host in the show.

The show opened with a parody of Dana Carvey’s “Wayne’s World” where he brought back the memory of his character Garth. The skit was named as “Cold Open” where Mike Myers also joined him. After that the audience finds out that they are actually competing against each other for Oscars. However, Dana Carvey ends the first skit of the night with a raunchy joke about “Black Swan” actresses Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. The second segment of the night was Dana Carvey’s monologue, where the host spoke about his previous experiences in the show, when he was a cast member of SNL. The next segment is named as “Church Chat” where Justin Bieber joins him. Even in “The Roommate” parody, the “Baby” singer joined the cast of SNL.

However, one of the main attractions of the show was Linking Park’s “Waiting For The End” performance along with “When They Come for Me”. The audience cheered for the famous rock-band and even Dana Carvey appreciated the performance. This week’s “Update” section mainly dealt with the trouble and turmoil of Egypt and the attack on Anderson Cooper. Even one of the funniest jokes of the night was Charlie Sheen’s rehab visit and drug related problems. Overall, it was one of the most interesting episodes of “Saturday Night Live”.
