brad3Jan 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Despite the low ratings, “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison is in no mood to admit the ceasing popularity of the show. Instead the show host recently shot up some comments which clearly indicated his protests against the buzz about the reality show’s poor ratings. Reports show that the 15th season of “The Bachelor” which was aired on ABC on January 3 this year failed to catch up high ratings. Is it all because of bringing in an already familiar face back to the show. This time the show again has Brad Womack as “The Bachelor”.

The Texas bar owner who had already made a stint in the reality show few years back in 2007 has once again been roped in to feature in the show. The low ratings of the show, which can be attributed to the comeback of an old ‘Bachelor’, has received a good defense from Chris Harrison who said that the show’s poor ratings at the time of its premiere hardly came as a surprise as the show has always tended to start slow.

The host defended the show saying that the dating reality series never started off with a bang except for the case of Trista Rehn who was featured in the first season of “The Bachelorette” which earned high ratings for both the show and the channel. Chris Harrison further added that “The Bachelor” usually has a tendency to build its popularity almost mid-way. The comments of Chris Harrison clearly indicated that he has high hopes from Brad Womack for he was seen stating that ‘The Bachelor’ would surely raise the popularity of the show.
