Hookers make hay while sun sets on stock markets!October 13th, 2008 - 2:18 pm ICT by ANI
New York, Oct 13 (ANI): The worldwide credit crunch might have shaken the stock markets globally, but there has been no effect on the world’’s oldest profession, with sex workers still raking in the moolah.
Conversation with a bunch of escorts has revealed that flesh trade is flourishing despite the recent economic crisis.
“The market is down, business is down, but we feel it less. We”re still busy,” the New York Daily News quoted Dylan, 24, a promotional model-turned-Manhattan prostitute, as saying.
Explaining why the red-light district still remains a blue-chip commodity, Dylan said: “If men are horny, they”re going to come in here.”
There are some who believe that their business hasnt been left untouched with the fiscal crisis, as some of their clients are cutting back on their spending, and some aren”t returning.
However, Dylan said that business was much steadier in her new position than when she was chasing down modelling jobs.
“The money is good in that field, but you don”t always get the work,” she said. (ANI)
