Hoo, directed by Ravichandran, is expected to grace screens around February. The film is almost complete now that the last song sequence of the film, featuring Ravichandran and Namitha is done.
The story of the film is about a person with a generous heart who values friendship a lot and places it above all. Starring two heroines – Meera Jasmine and Namitha, the film also stars Rangayana Raghu, Sharan, Shankar Aswath and Bullet Prakash.
According to Ravichandran, the release date of the film was postponed from January 15 to later as they didn’t want to work with an impending tension to finish the film for release. They wanted to take a little more time to ensure that the final product is much better.
Pooja Gandhi’s song not item number
Pooja Gandhi is angered by everyone who is calling her dance number in Sri Harikathe an “item number’.
The film which has finished shooting and will release on January 1, has its promotion activities going on in full swing. Director Dayaal Padmanabhan has even come up with a standalone promotional video for the film so as to promote it even more.
But, a song in the film, featuring Pooja Gandhi, is being dismissed as not very important. Pooja has shot back stating that the song is not an item number and that this song was important to introduce her character, a model, in the film. According to director Dayaal too, the song is very much a part of the story and isn’t an item song.
Aindrita happy to be vivacious
Aindrita Ray, despite her controversies, remains the first choice to play bubbly roles. Her films Dhool and Nooru Janmaku will have her playing such characters.
The actress is proud of her smile and her curves. At present, the actress is working on Nooru Janmaku, starring Santhosh which is directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekar. The film is almost done and one remaining song will be shot in Macau.
If one looks through the films Aindrita has done, like Junglee, Manasaare, Vaayupathra, they all have her playing lively, cheerful characters. So, as of now, Aindrita is the bubbly girl out and out in Kannada films!
Meanwhile, as Aindrita’s contemporaries, Amoolya, Radhika Pandit and Hari Priya are doing bigger and more serious roles, she is happy with what she’s doing at present and isn’t willing to compete against other heroines just to be number one as she knows it is a temporary position.
