New York, May 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The house where the 1990 hit kids movie “Home Alone” was filmed has been put for sale. The owners are asking for $2.4 million for the house. The fame of the house might have helped push the price up.

The property became very popular following the success of the movie. Though the house was actually filmed very minimally during the movie, the colors of the house has been maintained making it easily recognizable.

The movie is arguably the most successful movie that Macaulay Culkin has featured in. His character in the movie, Kevin McCallister, was left in the house while his parents and other members of the large family scrambled to make it to the airport to catch a flight to France. With the responsibility of taking care of the house now on Kevin’s shoulders, he fought and outwitted two burglars who tried to break into the house.

Off the screen, the house’s name has been turned to the “Home Alone house” and it is located at 671 Lincoln Ave which is in the village of Winnetka, IL. The house is owned by John and Cynthia Abendshien. The family lived in the house when the movie was made.
