London, May 17 (IANS) Hollywood stars, including Eva Longoria Parker, Katy Perry and Pamela Anderson, gathered to support an HIV charity AIDS Life event at the 2009 Life Ball Saturday.
The event, held in the town hall of the Austrian capital Vienna, played host to 4,000 guests in a bid to raise awareness for the worldwide fight against the disease, reports contactmusic.com.
“Desperate Housewives” star Longoria Parker, a representative of the American Foundation for AIDS Research, told the audience, “There’s a terrible shortage of doctors and other healthcare workers who are trained to provide the proper treatment and care for those children (with HIV).”
Other guests included former US president Bill Clinton, model Amber Valletta, and actress Fran Drescher.
