Hollywood has had a burst of fantasies this entire year, making it one of the most entertaining in terms of transforming the audiences into a make believe world to a point of no- return.
With so many fantasy flicks served up the audiences were quite spoilt for choice when it came to picking the best ones. However some very prominent ones to have left a mark on the audiences’ mind are:
Inception- This Christopher Nolan flick was a massive entertainer with Leonardo DiCaprio was a definite winner in the world of Science-Fiction thrillers. It was a sure must watch film.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I- This has been one of the most awaited sequels to the bespectacled wizard and his friends fighting it out with the evil forces. The movie has made a distinct mark as the ultimate thriller with part I being in 3D. However Part II of the Deathly Hallows is reportedly going to have an entirely 3D format.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time- This flick made on the lines of the video game by the same name has been one of the most popular draws of the year. With Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan and Gemma Arterton as the strikingly beautiful Princess Tamina have had a huge audience draw to make it as popular as the game has been. To add to the fun of fantasy there was Sir Ben Kingsley who had enacted the role of the vicious Nizam that added to the spicy basic storyline.
The Chronicles of Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Trader- This was one flick which has been loved by kids right from the time of its release and is still being cited as one of the favorite movies of the year. The 3D flick has been a great treat for kids as it was a great way for them to get transported into the world of fantasy and aura with a lot of action and thrill.
Clash of the Titans- This flick based on the 1981 flick by the same name has been a great winner right from the word go. This Greek adventure flick with a surreal world of fantasy packed in full swing has been one of the most popular releases of the year. As the movie had 3D tag to it along with the fact that it had Sam Worthington was enough to create a furor at the box office
Salt- This movie has been major attractions for all diehard fans of the pristine beauty Angelina Jolie. Despite enacting the role of a secret agent, it did not grab away the glamour quotient from the beautiful star that looked as beautiful and full of life as the blonde Russian agent Evelyn Salt. Based in the US this flick sure had the ingredients of the high action-drama filled in with all basic requirements of a suspense thriller
Knight and Day- Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz have spiced up this thriller making it a huge attractive proposition.
Iron Man 2 - This flick with the clanking metal man was quite a draw for science-fiction lovers. With big names like Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow it was something which everyone wanted to see. Mickey Rourke was yet another attraction in this fantasy treat.
