untitled27Oct 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Halloween fever makes old and forgotten movies to be revived again. Among the famous Halloween kids movies are, the 2005 released ‘Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie’, ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ (1966), ‘Casper’ (1995) and ‘Hocus Pocus’ (1993).

Hocus-Pocus is another of those movies being aired as a special Halloween idea-giver. It is essentially a Halloween based movie, made by Disney. It was directed by Kenny Ortega. The Walt-Disney studio saw the script and wanted to make it into a film. The movie was then released in the year of 1993 in July. It released in the US and Canada. Later it went on to be released in Australia and most parts of Europe, and some of Asia. The movie has Golden Globe nominated Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Thora Birch etc. The movie had decent ratings and did quite well in the children’s movie genre. It has since then become a cult film and very poplar on VHS.

However with the changing times its not only the movies that are a source of inspiration but also real life characters like a police woman. Yes! the very famous costume this season has been that of a policewoman for the females because according to them it exudes power. The costumes however do not come cheap, with the starting price being $150. Also along in the competition are top celebs like Amy Winehouse, Kate Gosselin, Michael Jackson etc. According to ‘The National Retail Federation’, popular costumes for children are witches and spider man. The inspirations are generally taken from Movies, the events taking place currently, the music cult etc. Also, the very famous ‘Twilight’ and ‘True Blood’ have made vampire costumes quite popular.
