John Maybury to helm ‘Wuthering Heights’

Washington, Feb 1 (ANI): John Maybury has signed on to direct a direct a feature adaptation of Emily Bronte’s classic gothic romance “Wuthering Heights.”
Casting is underway for the pic, which is being produced by Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae of Ecosse Films.
Olivia Hetreed has penned the script for the movie, reports Variety.
HanWay Films will sell internationally.
Published in 1847, ‘Wuthering Heights’ is a tempestuous love story about obsessive passion across the class divide, set on the Yorkshire Moors.
Maybury is currently working on “The Edge of Love” starring Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller and Cillian Murphy.
