Hindus willing to help Russell Brand if he seriously wishes to explore spirituality deeper
June 7th, 2010 - 5:08 pm ICT by ANINevada (US), June 7 (ANI): Hindu scholars would be willing to help actor-comedian Russell Brand (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) to explore Hinduism further if he is earnestly interested and lives up to its noble objectives.
Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that Hinduism welcomed anyone who had resolved to high spiritual ideals of Hinduism. Rich philosophical thought of Hinduism was open for anybody to explore.
Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, pointed out that if Brand was really serious about deeper study of Hinduism, almost any Hindu scholar would gladly assist him to clarify its philosophy, spirituality, teachings and practice. Any interest in the study and practice of high and noble ideals of spiritual life the Hinduism offers was always welcome.
Rajan Zed quoted Bhagavad-Gita: Lord Krishna says-”All those who take refuge in me…will attain the supreme goal”.
BAFTA nominated Russell Edward Brand (35) of England, whose comedy “Get Him to the Greek” (Nicholas Stoller) hit theaters in USA and Canada on June four, is reportedly attracted to Hinduism; carries a Sanskrit tattoo on his body; and has made visits to a Hindu temple. His catchphrase is “Hare Krishna” and Mahatma Gandhi is reportedly one of his heroes. He was quoted as saying: “I’m into yoga, I meditate all the time, I’m vegetarian.” (ANI)
