Hindi remake of Assamese classic ready for release
June 19th, 2010 - 9:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 19 (IANS) “Shivam”, the Hindi remake of Assamese classic “Dr. Bezbaruah” is ready for release next month, a statement said Saturday.
The Hindi version is based on the original screenplay by filmmaker Brojen Barua, who played the lead role as well as directed the movie in 1969, the release said.
“Shivam” is directed by Anshuman G. Barua and the music is by Ramen Barua, who made his debut as a music director with “Dr. Bezbaruah” over 40 years ago.
Produced by Jogiraj Choudhury, it features actors Pankaj Badra, Dibyajyoti Das, Arundhuti Bora, Aroushika Dey among others.
