‘Hide Yo Kids, Hide Yo Wife’ Antoine Dodson Releases 1st Single
November 11th, 2010 - 1:16 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonNov 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) When Antoine Dodson made his YouTube video with the now famous words ‘Hide yo kids, hide yo wife’, he had no idea that it would go viral and gain worldwide attention. He was simply an “angry brotha in the hood” venting his feelings on the video site.
But his ‘Bed Intruder Song’ which was written and sung by the ‘Gregory Brothers’ from the video about his anger after his sister was attacked, has made it to number one in Sweden, and it was submitted by someone for a Grammy.
The video, and his persona gained world wide fame so fast that the young star has not even had time to catch up. He explained to ‘George Lopez’, “I know they aired it at 5. That same day, two or three hours later, somebody called me and was like, Oh my God, Antoine—it’s on YouTube. You got 305 viewers. The next day people started calling me and was like, I’m an agent, I want to give you this amount of money… I was so terrified. I never got this amount of money offered to me a day in my life!”
He also shared with the Lopez audience that he is releasing a new single, entitled ‘Stupid (You So Dumb),’ produced by his sister. It is said to be a continuation of the former, about the intruder since the perpetrator has not yet been caught, and Antoine urges his fans to be aware.
