Washington, Jan 2 (ANI): “Heroes” has been named the Top TV Show of 2007 in peer-to-peer or P2P file-sharing networks.
P2P activity has come up as the most consistent indicator for finding out who the most tech-savvy media consumers are watching and listening to on the Internet.
To determine the most-traded files in the world of P2P, Wired News collaborated with BigChampagne Online Media Measurement, a Los Angeles-based firm which tracks media-consumption trends across all digital channels.
Focussing exclusively on P2P traffic, BigChampagne has compiled what can be called the most accurate list of Top TV Shows of 2007, using data from all the major file-trading protocols and networks, including BitTorrent, Gnutella and eDonkey.
“Heroes” was followed by “Prison Break” and “Top Gear at the second and third place respectively, reports Wired News.
Hit American TV series “Smallville” and Eva Longoria starrer Desperate Housewives rounded off the top five.
Other shows that made to the list were “House, M.D,” “Lost, “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “24.
