Heroes star Hayden Panettiere Jan 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) I am sure you remember at the end of last season’s Heroes, that Hiro’s memory was erased, and he disappeared,Sam killed Joseph, Nathan dies, Claire decided to stay with the carnival for a while, and Sam starts to collect those with gifts.

In last night’s show, Eli stares at Claire until she feels uncomfortable. She takes some blueberry pancakes into Samuel’s tent, at Lydia’s encouragement. Claire sees a box from her dad’s paper company in Sam’s tent but he does not tell her how it got there. He tells her that he is going to the city to get someone to help them build a place where they can be free. Sam says that once they find a permanent place to live, that she might want to stay. Claire answers, “Or go.” Sam replies,”The choice is yours.”

In Tokyo, Hiro appears. He tells a vendor that he is a Jedi. He then tries to help a girl being mugged, waves a knife at the assailant and says”There can be only One” He begins to give a speech to the crowd around, and a cop then orders him to drop the knife. It is obvious he is unaware of where or who he is.

Claire notices Eli staring at her again. She overhears Lydia arguing with her daughter. She tells Lydia that it sounded like herself and her mom. Claire adds that maybe it would have been easier for her and her mom if they had lived somewhere like this, where her gift would not have been noticed. “Yeah this is paradise,” Lydia says sarcastically. Then she tells Claire she didn’t mean anything by it. Claire asks Lydia if she knows why Sam wanted her here. Lydia said that it had become an obsession of Sam’s to get people here lately. Claire then went to sneak into Samuel’s tent to see her dad’s files, and Eli stopped her.

Hiro has actually went back to the time he was missing from, and Ando tells the police that Hiro has been missing for 6 weeks. Hiro tries in gibberish to explain to Ando what is happening, but Ando only sees mental illness. He and the cops discuss what to do with Hiro. Hiro keeps trying to explain, and his sister tells Ando that he needs a doctor. But Ando has started to make sense of what Hiro is trying to tell them, and goes off to find Hiro’s comic books. Ando finally understands that Hiro wants to go to Ark-ham Florida.

Emma gets a letter denying her application, and picks up her cello, only to get a doorbell ring. Samuel is at the door. He tells her that he has a gift like hers, and she tries to shut the door. He then informs her that he is the one who sent the cello, so she lets him in. Sam tells her that he is interested in people “like us.” He knows that she has a gift, and that they are all connected. Sam then tells Emma that giving her the cello was not easy, because it was meant for someone he loved, but then he lost her. He tells her that he is there to help her get rid of her fear and release her true ability. Sam asks for Emma’s help in trying to find a man who has ran from his gifts. A man who causes flowers and plants to grow wherever he goes. She asks how she can help. He tells her that her gift is more than seeing sound, that her emotions become one with the music and that she can bring people to her like a Siren’s song. As she plays in the park, it draws the man Samuel wants. As this man smiles, leaves start to grow on the tree. Sam gives Emma a compass and invites her to the circus, telling her that they could use a doctor, and a signer. As the man agrees to go home with Sam, a television news report shows that Nathan has died in a plane crash.

Claire sees Eli watching her again. She tries to run and is surrounded by him, as he can replicate himself. He finds her in the house of mirrors.”Now maybe yo can see how it feels.” Claire says, as he sees many of her. She escapes, and goes to Sam’s trailer. As she starts to look through the files in Sam’s trailer, her body is suddenly thrown about like a puppet, and she is kicked out. Doyle is controlling her as if he had her by the strings, and asks, “What do you think you are doing, Barbie?” She tells him to let her go, but he refuses until she tells him why she was snooping. She tries to tell him that Sam is collecting people who have gifts for something bad. He says that Sam is doing something great, and he refuses to let her ruin it for everyone. She tries to make him understand that Sam is up to evil things. She tells him that he knows her, and that she does not want to destroy his home. He releases her and tells her to talk to Lydia, that Lydia knows. When she does, Lydia tells her that Sam was not always in charge, that Joseph was their real father, and that Sam killed him. She told Claire that Sam had lost his way, and that she was afraid for everyone. Claire tells her that this place is good for her and her daughter and Doyle, but that the only bad thing about it is Sam. She asks Claire to find someone to stop Sam. Just as Claire says that she will, Eli shows up and grabs her. Sam shows up right then and asks Eli what does he think he is doing. He tells Claire that she is not a prisoner, that she is free to go. She says that she will as soon as he tells her what happened to Joseph. He explained to her that he did not mean to murder Joseph, but that he lost his temper and was trying to protect the family, since Joseph had put them all in danger. She argues with him, and asks what he is doing with the valley. He takes her there and shows her Ian, the man Emma found, causing plants to grow there, where it was barren. Claire smiles as she watches it become beautiful. When Sam tells Claire that this is why it is so important that he gets more family, to build this home, that can be hers, she tells him that she has a home, and would like to go back there. He says, “Of course, and you are free to go home, just remember that you can come back here anytime you want.” As she goes to leave, she gets a voicemail from Peter, telling her that something has happened and they have a lot to talk about. Claire then shows up at Nathan’s funeral. Her dad says to her ,”I am glad you are safe.” She answers, “From what? Where I was, I was fine.” He tells her that he knows she took the compass. “And I am not giving it back.” she answers, and then walks away, to hear Peter’s speech at the burial. She watches with tears in her eyes as they give the flag from the casket to Nathan’s mother.

Part Two

When part two continued, Peter meets Noah, and asks to see Nathan, who’s body he is then shown, in the trunk of the car. This had happened 86 hours before.

Syler shows up at the carnival, and Sam tells Doyle to get everyone to safety. He explains that he came back into his own body with one singular thought. “Feast” and then he threw Sam by motioning his hand,Sam then caused a dust storm to rip Syler up, and Syler falls over.

Claire gets a knock on the door, and it is her Noah. He offers her a ride, but she tells him that she prefers him not to come, because he had lied to her again, about Nathan’s death, about what he had done. She told her dad she needed time to grieve without being reminded that he put Syler into Nathan and didn’t tell her.

Angela tries to tell Peter not to seek revenge. Claire shows up and Peter goes to the kitchen with her. She tells Peter that she asked her dad not to come. They discuss how angry they were that they were both lied to. Claire cuts her hand, and it does not heal because Peter has the Haitian’s power. She tell him not to turn it off, and instead uses a bandaid. Peter asks her where her old boyfriend is, the one that could fly, and she tells him that they are still Facebook friends, and that his name is Wes and he goes to NYU. When Claire’s dad gets home, Edgar, with two knives, is there to kill him, but Noah stops Edgar with a taser.

Noah pays the Chinese restaurant owner to let him use the restaurant tonight. He has Edgar, the speedster who tried to kill him, in the restaurant freezer, and is going to make him tell everything he knows about the carnival. He is torturing the guy, and Lauren stops him. She shows him that the guy has no compass, and that you can draw more flies with honey. He stops torturing the guy and begins to chat with him. He asks Edgar why he didn’t kill him. He said he knows that Edgar does not have a compass and cannot get home. He tells Noah that he can’t go home anyway, that he was cast out, because he found out about Joseph. He explained that he thought if he took Noah back to Sam, that he could get back in, because he was afraid of what Sam is going to do to his friends. Noah tells him that they can work together to stop Sam. They start to plan to get to Sam, but begin to disagree that Edgar’s friends need help, and should be moved. Edgar gets himself loose and says it was a mistake to trust them but that he won’t let them have his family. He snatches the map of the circus, and leaves in a blur.

Lydia asks Sam why he put Syler back in her trailer. Sam says that he is healing, but that Syler had a chance to kill him and didn’t. He wants to know why and wants Lydia to find out. Lydia rubs her hands on Syler as he rests, and wakes him. He stops her, and tells her that she cannot find out what is wrong with him because nothing is. She tells him she will help him figure out why he cannot kill Sam, and they begin to kiss. She tells him that he wants love, but just doesn’t think he deserves it. He asks her if she knows what he does to people likeĀ  her. She answers, “You cut our heads open and steal our powers.” They keep kissing, and he tells her that she wants to manipulate him to her agenda to kill Sam. She tells him that he is impotent. He pushes her away and leaves. Sam sees him outside and tells him that he knows why he cannot kill, that Lydia told him everything. Sam tells him that he is hurting and needs a friend, that everyone does. Sam shows Syler that he feels the same as Syler does, because he feels no one can love him for who he is or what he has done either. Syler says that if all this is true, let the tattoo show him and he will stay. The tattoo forms something on Syler’s arm that we cannot see,and Sam says, “Well isn’t that interesting.” Syler looks upset, and says to Sam, “I guess you were wrong, I don’t belong here,” and leaves.

Claire is upset with Angela, because Angela convinced Nathan to keep Claire, his illegitimate daughter, a secret. She is angry at them for lying to her. Angela begs Claire to stop Peter from seeking justice. Claire goes to the roof to talk to Peter, where he is listening to a police scanner. When she gets there, Peter has gone. He is at the scene of a crime he heard on the scanner. Claire follows him, and he tells her to hold pressure on a lady’s wound because she has been shot. Claire begs him to stop. When she asks him why he is doing this he answers, “Because I can’t be just a band-aid, Claire.” Peter talks to the man who is shooting people about his brother dying, and all he has gone through. He says that he understands the pain that the guy must be feeling, but that he promised his brother that he would be a hero.”Don’t make me out to be a liar, not today,” Peter adds. The guy shot him, but he lived. Claire heals him, but tells him that he has to stop, that she won’t always be there to save him. He answers, “Well then I guess this is a good ability to hang on to.” She tells him that he is not honoring Nathan’s memory, that he is avoiding it. After they talk a bit, he asks Claire if she can call Wes. “Sure,” she answers, but she wonders why.

Lauren convinces Noah to try to call Claire and make up. Claire comes home to a note from Gretchen, “In the library studying late.” She sees that Noah has called, but does not answer. As she lies back on the bed, we see Syler hovering outside her window, looking down at his tattoo, which is Claire’s face. Tune in next week for the next “Heroes” episode.
