Helen Mirren says that her ‘Best Body’ title was rigged
August 31st, 2011 - 11:39 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Aug 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Almost a month after being voted as the person with the ‘best body’ by L.A. Fitness, Helen Mirren has spoken about the accolade. The veteran Hollywood star appeared on the Early Show on Wednesday.
When she was asked about her title, Helen joked that she believed the poll was “rigged”. She said that, “The voting was rigged in some way or other. I want to get to the bottom of it… I think it has something to do with hanging chads. There was a little hanging chad issue going on there somehow.”
Co-anchor Erica Hill laughed at Helen’s analysis saying she would have embraced the accolade especially when personalities like Jennifer Lopez and others were all added to the contest. Helen told Hill that she believes Lopez is “thousand times more beautiful” than she is.
Helen also spoke about her latest movie titled The Debt. She explained that the movie is an adaptation of an Israeli piece. She plays the role of a retired Mossad agent in the movie. On why she deiced to pick up the role, Helen said she was intrigued by the character.
The movie will be released in the United States on Wednesday.
