Helen Mirren gets nostalgic on ‘Brighton Rocks’ sets
September 16th, 2010 - 12:51 am ICT by IANSLondon, Sep 15 (IANS) Actress Helen Mirren got nostalgic while shooting for her new movie “Brighton Rocks”, in which she plays the role of a waitress as she spent her teenage years working at her aunt’s hotel.
The “Queen” star plays the owner of a tea shop in the forthcoming period film and says she enjoyed playing it.
“My auntie had a bed and breakfast in Brighton (Massachusetts), so actually when I was about 16 I worked as a waitress in her bed and breakfast, serving the breakfast. I worked as a waitress in Brighton, funnily enough now I’m running a tea shop in the film,” dailystar.co.uk quoted her as saying.
