July 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): This is official. Heidi and Spencer have ‘successfully’ topped the Most Embarrassing American’s list. They have collectively bagged top honors at the poll. Actress Sandra Bullock has been named ‘America’s Sweetheart.’

There are many people amongst us, who might say that there are a lot of more embarrassing citizens from the US making life miserable for several others, the only feasible solution was to go to the almighty World Wide Web, create a poll and then check the results. The website PopEater did the same thing. In fact, they did it not just alone, but with the assistance of The Insider. Together these two media ‘assassins’ created the most embarrassing poll, quite literally!

The results of the poll threw up the names of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt aka Heidi and Spencer as the top contenders for the title. These are the two people who have been irritating the living daylights out of almost anyone and everyone, ever since they got committed. The couple is presently facing a divorce after their strange marriage came to an abrupt end. They are loathed by the viewers of reality shows and have been even maligned at times.

Quite understandably, the people who cannot stand their mere existence must be having the last laugh. It wouldn’t be surprising to find out if the couple gets mails or messages congratulating them, all of which are steeped in sarcasm. The ‘most embarrassing’ title aptly fits these annoying couple as their haters would surely agree and might even rejoice at this fact!
