LOS ANGELES (THAINDIAN NEWS) — MTV’s reality series ‘The Hills’ star Heidi Montag, who is also known as Heidi Pratt, said during a preview of the series’ final season that she would be divorcing her husband, Spencer Pratt. But will she really? Reports say Montag was ‘tricked’ into saying that.

The final season of ‘The Hills’, season 6, will premiere on Tuesday, April 27 at 10/9c on MTV. A sneak preview that was released by MTV last week immediately sparked a lot of discussion because of one line. “I really didn’t think, on like my one-year anniversary, I’d be getting divorced,” Montag, 23, says during the final seconds of the trailer.

But according to a Us Weekly source, which is on stands now, the couple is fine and was misled into saying she was breaking up with Spencer. “They tricked Heidi into saying she was divorcing him for an episode tease, before they told her the show was canceled,” the insider said. “She didn’t realize they were going to end the show without them getting back together!”

MTV refused to comment on the report, in what may have been a ratings ploy for the final episodes of the series. ‘The Hills’ first premiered on May 31, 2006.

Montag first announced her engagement to Spencer Pratt in May 2007 but, during the ‘The Hills’ season finale in December 2007, they decided to break it off. Later, on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, Pratt said he was ‘madly in love’ with Montag and was tring to win her back.

Finally, on November 20, 2008, Montag and Spencer held a small marriage ceremony in Mexico without family members present. The ceremony lasted only 15 minutes. The couple married a second time on April 25, 2009.
