Heather McComb splits up with James Van der Beek
June 11th, 2009 - 1:45 am ICT by GDStar of the hit nineties’ series Dawson’s Creek, James Van Der Beek has officially separated from from Heather McComb, his wife of six years. Apparently the couple got separated two months ago but did not inform the press till recently. But according to their representatives the split was amicable and they both continue to be very close to each other. Us Weekly has been told that “They remain good friends.” However the reasons for their impending divorce was not revealed.
They were married in 2003 shortly after James Van Der Beek had finished with his starring role as Dawsaon Leery, in the sixth and final season of Dawson’s Creek. Both are active members of the Kabbalah and regularly attend the Kabbalah Center.
Van Der Beek and McComb may not have shared their acting projects but both have become successful in their own rights in the industry. James has guest-starred in several successful series including Criminal Minds, Ugly Betty, How I Met Your Mother and more recently One Tree Hill and Medium in 2009. His film roles include the leads in “Varsity Blues” in 1999 and “The Rules of Attraction” in 2002. This year he stars in the thriller “Formosa Betrayed.” Heather has gained popularity in the role of Maggie in Party of Five. Later she appeared in the CSI series and Without a Trace. Her most recent notable performance was as Rita Morgan in the critically acclaimed series Prison Break.
