April 22, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Heather Locklear has an appointment with the court next month as a result of the misdemeanor of the hit-and-run indictment after an early morning crash razed a street sign.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Captain, Eric Dowd, has declared that Locklear was cited and discharged on Saturday after an inhabitant mentioned listening to a collision around 4 a.m. An examination directed the police personnel to Locklear, whom they suppose was behind the wheel at the moment of the collision.

According to people.com, the actress was detained for supposedly striking a no-parking sign on a public lane in close proximity to her gated-community abode. She departed without alerting anyone.

Police cited the actress after they scrutinized the rubble left at the scene and mapped it out back to her black 2005 BMW. This was mentioned by the sheriff’s spokesperson, Ross Bonfiglio, to People.com.

Bonfiglio mentioned to People.com that, while Locklear was theoretically detained, she was not chained or transported to a station since it was merely a misdemeanor indictment.

Bonfiglio divulged that Locklear was supportive, but she can’t bestow any data about any proclamations that Locklear made. Locklear formalized a paper mentioning that she would make an emergence in a court of law.

Bonfiglio expounded to People.com that it seems that Locklear escalated on a curb and thumped the sign. Bonfiglio proclaimed that they don’t possess any solid proof that alcohol was involved. They, for the time being, do not know if any individual was in the car with her at the time.

Blair Berk, a legal representative for the 48-year-old actress, corroborated that Locklear was cited as the car’s cataloged proprietor. However, Berk explained that it was not yet apparent who was driving the automobile.

The case will be listened to on May 17 at Simi Valley Court.

Locklear was under arrest in 2008 for driving under the sway of prescription medicines. She accepted culpability for a minor charge of irresponsible driving in January 2009.
