Michael Jackson Washington, July 11 (ANI): A custody hearing on the temporary guardianship of Michael Jackson’s kids has been delayed, according to court officials.

The hearing, previously scheduled for July 12, is now slated for July 20 at the request of Jackson’s mother Katherine and former wife Debbie Rowe.

“All prior orders remain in full force and effect, with Katherine Jackson as temporary guardian of the children,” People magazine quoted a Los Angeles Superior Court statement as saying.

Jackson had named his 79-year-old mother as the carer for his three children Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7, in his will.

He had added in his will that Diana Ross, 65, his long-time friend and singing superstar, should be their guardian, should his mother be unable to look after the kids.

No provisions were made for Rowe, who is the biological mother of Prince and Paris, in the documents.

Rowe gave up her parental rights in 2001, and was reportedly paid a multi-million dollar settlement in return.

Last week, Rowe’s attorney Eric George, said: “The truth is that Debbie has not reached a final decision concerning the pending custody proceedings.” (ANI)
