Los Angeles, April 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) HBO has brought back what many people believe was the first US television reality show to the cinemas. “Cinema Verite” is the remake of the 1973 documentary on an affluent family that shocked Americans.

The show, “An American Family,” was the production of PBS and it followed a real family in the United States. The story and the affluence of the family shocked many Americans at that time. The show follows the lives of Bill and his wife, Pat along with their five children. One of the most memorable moments of the show was when Pat told Bill that she is seeking divorce. The news was received on the show and Bill’s reaction was shown as well. The camera’s rolled in the faces of the Louds for seven months.

In the retelling of the story by HBO, Tim Robbins plays the role of Bill while Diane Lane is cast as Pat in the movie. The film touched on the arrangements between Craig Gilbert and Bill to have the families lives filmed. Craig’s character is played by James Gandolfini.

The movie chronicles the lives of the other members of the family as well.
