HBO Comic Robert Schimmel Involved in Serious Car Accident

Aug 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Robert Schimmel, the comic from ‘HBO’ who is perhaps best known for his regular appearances on ‘Howard Stern’s radio talk show, is reported to be in very serious condition after being involved in a car accident on an Arizona highway which occurred on Thursday.
Robert’s daughter, who is nineteen years old, was said to have been driving at the time of the accident. The young woman swerved to avoid missing another accident, and lost control, sending the car into a flip on the side of the highway.
The daughter was placed in the hospital and is reported in stable condition. Robert’s eleven year old son was also in the car. He was released on Thursday with no injuries. Robert Schimmel, however, is still in the hospital and listed in “very serious” condition. His family is by his bedside, according to reports from ‘TMZ’.
Schimmel has had four children by his first marriage to Vicki, and they lost a son to cancer at the age of eleven. He also had two other sons by his second wife, Melissa, from whom he is divorced. Schimmel is a heart attack and cancer survivor.
