“Hawaii Five-O” Star James MacArthur Passes Away At 72

Oct 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor James MacArthur, who won wide acclaim for his true to life portrayal of the character of Danny “Danno” William in the popular television series “Hawaii Five-O,” passed away on Thursday, October 28. The noted actor was 72 years of age at the time of his demise. According to reports that have emerged, James MacArthur breathed his last in Florida owing to natural causes although intrinsic details of the cause of his demise continues to remain sketchy.
Following the death of the “Hawaii Five-O” star, a statement was issued by his family confirming the news of his death while it was also revealed that the renowned actor was surrounded by his family members during his final moments. However, no further details, including the cause of his death, was made available to the media outlets. Sources have revealed that a memorial service is likely to take place in Nyack in New York, Honolulu in Hawaii as well as in Palm Desert in the state of California. The fact that the much-loved “Hawaii Five-O” star is no more has left his ardent followers rather dismayed who would always remember James MacArthur for his illustrious body of work. The actor is survived by his third wife Helen Beth Duntz, to whom he has been married for the last 25 years, his four children as well as seven grandchildren.
During his career spanning across years, James MacArthur made a mark for himself in small as well as big screen apart from his association with the stage. Some of his most remarkable movies include “The Battle of the Bulge,” “The Bedford Incident,” “Hang ‘Em High,” among others.
