New Delhi : April, 2009 - Setting the tone for the upcoming holiday season, POGO introduces captivating new series, of the classic kids’ tale “The Jungle Book’ and the adventure packed new season of the popular, homegrown series “Chhota Bheem’. Beginning today, 6 April at 5:30 p.m. kids’ will get an oppurtunity to step into the fascinating world of Mowgli and his animal friends, as it premieres exclusively on POGO. Doubling up the fun, the kids’ from the fictional town of dholakpur will kick start your Sundays at 9:30 am with all new adventurous and escapades, in “Chhota Bheem’.

The latest addition to the POGO family, “The Jungle Book’ is a product of Nippon animation studio. Based on famous book by Rudyard Kipling, it’s the story of a boy lost in the jungle as a child and adopted into a family of wolves by whom he was named Mowgli. Hunted by Shere Khan, a Bengal tiger, Mowgli is allowed to run with the wolf pack under the protection of Bagheera, a black panther, and Baloo, a brown bear who teaches the wolf cubs and Mowgli the Law of the Jungle.
Produced by Hyderabad based Green Gold studios – “Chhota Bheem’ continues to be a big draw on POGO, since it launched in April 2008. Inspired by the legendary Bheem from the Mahabharata, Bheem stands for his strength and integrity.
