Rupert GrintAs the release date of “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” is dawning near, the Potter mania is spreading all over most contagiously. The one person who needs all the magical cures from the world of the boy wizard is Rupert Grint. Reports came in yesterday, July4, that the young actor is ill, just three days before the new Harry Potter film is supposed to premiere in London.

It has been reported by BBC, that the Harry Potter star who plays the character of Harry’s best friend Ron Weasley in the movie series, is recovering from a mild case of the dreaded swine flu.

The accomplice of the famed wizard in training has returned to the set of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” to resume his work in the last movie of the popular fantasy fiction series, according to the statement released by Grint’s publicist. Due to his illness, Grint had been unable to work, therefore he had taken a break from the filming for a few days.

His publicist said, “Scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement and thus filming was not disrupted. He is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members at the premieres this week and will then return to filming directly after wards.”

It has been reported that Grint’s doctor had confirmed that the 20 year old actor has a mild case of the flu and it is no more contagious. So there is nothing to fear regarding his health condition anymore.

“Harry Potter and the half blood Prince” releases world wide on the 15th of July 2009.
