London, March 21 (ANI): The set for the final Harry Potter movie has been left in ruins by a huge blaze after a dramatic battle scene went wrong.

Firefighters were said to have fought flames for 40 minutes at Leavesden Film Studios after explosives used in action sequences for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows set light to scenery for the wizardry school.

“We were shooting the scenes where Hogwarts gets blown up during the battle. But fire managed to catch hold of the set and it went up in flames. It was completely out of control at one point,” News of the World quoted a source as saying.

No injuries were reported but the source added: “The special effects guys involved are devastated. There’s always a risk when there’s shooting involving fire and explosives but this shouldn’t happen.”

Makers Warner Brothers is continuing with the production. (ANI)
