To shoot a section of the movie it was required to blow up a section of the Hogwarts castle, the place where the cute boy wizard takes his lessons in magic and witchcraft with his pals. The fire was intended to be within control but unfortunately it went out of bounds, resulting in the entire castle set getting burnt down. The blaze was quite severe and the reports reveal that firefighters had to be summoned at the Leavesden Film Studios where the set is situated.

Explosives were used by the team to blow up a segment of the set which in turn engulfed the entire set. The firefighters put in their best effort to douse the flame and they took nearly 40 minutes to bring it under control. The damage is huge in terms of money but no one was injured in the process as it has been revealed. The main leads like Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson were not there when the fire broke out.

The incident happened on Friday night and it may delay the film’s completion and release as many are assuming. The special effect team is quite sad at the development. The damage would cost the producers of the film close to 100,000. The film has been in the making for quite some time and the special effects are said to be huge.
