Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows spreads its charm on the box office

Los Angeles, Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1” opened strongly this weekend. The movie raced to the No. 1 position of the Box Office with a record $125 million on the three nights of the weekend.

The movie’s strong showing ensured that it became the biggest grossing Harry Potter movie in history. The previous Harry Potter movie to hold that record was “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. The strong performance of the movie once again laid credence to the Harry Potter franchise as the most successful film franchise of all time. He franchise is currently the highest grossed franchise in the history of the world. The franchise has managed $5.4 billion after six installments of the movie.

The “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1” movie is the last but one movie in the Harry Potter franchise. The last Harry Potter movie will be the continuation of the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1” and it will be released next year.

The strong showing of the movie is attributed to the massive worldwide awareness that was created for the movie. At the end of the weekend, “Megamind” managed a second place. It however managed that at the distant second position with $16.2 million.
