‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’ Set To Smash Competition At Box Office

harry-potter-4-insideNov 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The first part of the last movie in the world famous Harry Potter franchisee aka “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” has been released worldwide and going by the response it looks like a dark horse at the box office. In Canada and USA the movie is being released on 12000 screens and around 4125 locations. It may break many previous box office opening weekend records predict the experts and critics. The newest Harry Potter movie may also smash the opening day record set by Summit Entertainment’s box office success “Twilight Saga: Eclipse”. It may also topple the three day opening record that was made by “The Dark Knight” which was released in 2008.

Even though the producers have dumped the coversheet to 3D the iMax version is also going to fetch in the money. It is being assumed that the new Harry Potter movie the 7th in the franchise can fetch anything between $100 million to $160 million in its opening weekend. Reports have already poured in that the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” has exceeded the advance ticket sales of previous flicks in the franchisee. The fact that it is the first part of the last movie in the series may also draw in more viewers in the halls this week.

At the Box office it will clash head on with the animated comedy ‘Megamind’ and the new Denzel Washington starrer ‘Unstoppable’. Both films are doing well but they simply can not survive the Harry Potter mania and will slid further in the coming week. In short the Harry Potter film is all set to dominate the box office for few weeks now.
