June 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Film legend and action hero Harrison Ford married his girlfriend actress Calista Flockhart after their eight years of courtship last Tuesday June 15, 2010 at the Governor’s mansion in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Harrison Ford is filming his upcoming film “Cowboys and Aliens”. The ceremony of their marriage was presided over by Governor Bill Richardson and New Mexico Supreme Court Justice Charles Daniels.

Calista Flockhart, 45, who dated Sam Mendes in 1999, is thrilled about getting married for the first time with Harisson Ford and they have an adopted son, Liam who is nine years old. Harrison Ford is divorced twice before, he married Mary Marquardt first and then the Hollywood scriptwriter Melissa Mathison for second time. Harrison Ford has two children from his first wife and two from the latter. Harrison Ford met Calista Flockhart at the Golden Globes where she supposedly accidentally spilled wine on him. The couple dated for eight years ever since and then tied their knots last Tuesday. Rumors about their marriage set the world abuzz since 2009 when Harrison Ford proposed Calista Flockhart on Valentine’s day weekend and the couple finally got married last Tuesday.

The “Indiana Jones” and “Star Wars” fame Harrison Ford is currently filming “Cowboys and Aliens” with Daniel Craig in New Mexico. Calista Flockhart was the protagonist of the Fox sitcom “Ally McBeal” which earned her recognition and fame as an actress. The couple seemed happy about their marriage but did not comment anything further. The marriage was a private affair as the Governor and his private stuffs were also tight lipped about the details of the ceremony.
