Los Angeles, Feb 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The writers of the movie “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle,” Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are in the process of scripting a new movie which is reportedly titled “American Pie 4.” According to sources, the new film will somewhat follow the events of “American Wedding,” the 2003 theatrical release. In the film, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are apparently going to develop “a new take of the franchise.”

Nothing much is revealed about “American Pie 4″ as of now. It is assumed that some of the casts who were present in the earlier versions will make a comeback in the new sequel. According to some sources, comedy actors like Seann William Scott, Jason Biggs, Shannon Elizabeth and Alyson Hannigan who were part of the first film might feature in this movie as well. However, how the older characters are going to fit in the expected ‘youthful world’ of “American Pie 4″ still remains a mystery. Universal Pictures is really hopeful that the movie which is coming from the “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle,” screenwriters Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg would be widely appreciated by the audience. The “American Pie” fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie.

“American Pie” was released in the year 1999 and was a smash hit across the world. The movie made good money grossing almost $200 million. The sequel “American Pie 2″ and “American Wedding,” came out in the following years. These movies also made very good money and were widely accepted by the audience. Lots of DVD versions were released later under the banner of ‘American Pie Presents:’ sequels.
