August 23, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Hariharan, the well known director from Mollywood, is still soaking in the success of his latest project “Pazzhassi Raja’, which has become huge hit. Recently Hariharan went to the USA, where he had a meeting with Warner Bros. representatives. If reports are to be believed, Warner Bros wants him to direct a period film on the Bible. This is a huge step for Indian Cinema as no other Indian director has ever worked with Warner Bros.
The representatives of Warner Bros have asked Hariharan to submit the story and script of the upcoming movie within a short time. Hariharan is the one of the best Malayalam directors, who has shown his talents in all genres of movie making with different films on comedy and drama. Hariharan has made more than 60 films and some of them have turned into cult classics like “Valarthumrugangal’, “Panchagni’, “Nakakshathangal’, “Amrutham Gamaya’ etc. His latest venture “Pazhassi Raja” written by MT Vasudevan Nair has become a big box office grosser.
Hariharan knows the pulse of the Malayalam cinema and that is why his movies have been able to capture the attention of the audience for nearly four decades. The latest Warner Bros project will be a huge break from Hariharan and secure his position as all time greats of Mollywood.
