“Happy Days” Actor Tom Bosley Dies At 83

Tom BosleyOct 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Television’s iconic father Tom Bosley died of heart failure yesterday. The actor was also battling lung cancer and died at a hospital neat his Palm Springs Home in California. Tom Bosley’s agent Sheryl Abrams announced the news to the media. The actor was 83 year old and survived by his second wife and daughter.

The Tony award-winning actor is renowned for his role as an understanding and charming father Howard Cunningham in the television series “Happy Days”. The show was appreciated by the viewers so much that it ran for 11 seasons and the actor became a household name in America. Tom Bosley’s family has not announced anything about the funeral yet, however, presently his family is has asked everyone to donate in their cancer charity. The death of renowned television personality has brought in a wave of sorrow to everyone who knew him. The who’s who of the television industry expressed their condolence in the social networking sites. Ron Howard, who0 played the role of his son the series expressed his condolence by saying that Tom Bosley was remarkable in everything he did and he was a wonderful artist.

Henry Winkler, who played a significant role in “Happy Days” told a reputed media source that he was shocked to hear the news of Tom Bosley’s demise and the latter will be missed by everyone. Henry Winkler said that the actor was the mentor in “Happy Days” set and he will be remembered by everyone. Ron Howard said that Tom Bosley reflected love and peace throughout his life and he has maintained this loving nature all his life. Marion Ross, who played the role of Marion Cunningham in “Happy Days” expressed her condolence at the demise of the actor.
