London, January 10 (ANI): Hannah Montana, the hit TV show that shot Miley Cyrus to stardom, will be wrapped up in 2011, a Disney spokeswoman has confirmed.
The series, based on a girl who lives a double life as an average teenage school girl named Miley Stewart by day and a famous pop singer named Hannah Montana by night, sent the TRPs soaring after its debut in 2006.
Disney Channel’s Senior Vice President of Programming Adam Bonnett revealed that the current season is scheduled to conclude in March next year with “a big one-hour event”.
“You never know in this business… but right now we’re scheduled to wrap after shooting,” the BBC quoted Bonnett as telling the New York Post.
A big screen version of the show, Hannah Montana: The Movie, went on to reign the US box office last year. (ANI)
